Is that bad news?

How to Manage Multiple Domain Names

Are you tired of going on an egg hunt every couple of months? Well what you need to do is stop hiding your eggs in all those different places.

You all know what I mean, you get this great idea for a domain name and register it with whoever is running a deal on domain names at the time. After a while you realize you own 10 or 20 domain names and they are scattered around the internet like Easter Eggs waiting to be found. Then you get an email from GoDaddy, Host Gator, or Worlds Most Trusted Hosting telling you that you need to renew yourname.com. Hmmm.. Now where did I write down that password?

Well, don't you think it's about time you got all your eggs in one basket?

All of the hosting companies out there will make a transfer for you and it is relatively painless. When you first register a name with a registrar they will usually lock it for a period of time, anywhere from 60days to a year. What this means is that you cannot transfer your name away from them until that period is expired. This is one reason people end up with a bunch of those eggs scattered all around, they decide they want to change and see they are locked and say "I'll do it later" and never get back to it.

So stop hunting eggs and start out by finding a good quality reliable basket, then go out and gather the eggs one last time, put them into your new basket and you will easiy manage all your domains in one place. The basket you use should offer to bring your eggs in at little or no cost to you if you sign up with the hosting accounts so be sure you look at all the little add ons and up charges before you sign up. You should pay around 10-12 dollars to transfer and the same for a years registration. Your hosting account should be running a range of 4-9 dollars per month depending on term of the contract. You should be able to open a support ticket at any time and get any questions answered and look for discounts on multiple transfers and registrations.

So find yourself a good basket and put all those eggs in one place.

Frustrated?....Grow Up!

Sometimes I get so frustrated, I just want to put my fist through the screen. The new monitor screen my son gave me last Christmas. Maybe that's what keeps me from doing it. But I still get frustrated.
I am frustrated when I keep bouncing from program to program trying to make a buck online. But those emails keep offering me all these bonuses and free trials on the latest and greatest to make me an online millionare. So I try this and I try that, and I am still wondering why I am not making all this money they said I would.

Frustrating!

So why do I do it? What makes me stop what I'm doing and take a shot with the next latest and greatest? Why not stick with a program that is sound, has a quality product, with a quality company behind it?

Shall we be honest with each other? What I mean is, are you willing to be honest? Honest with yourself.
If this is a scenerio that sounds like you, now or in the past, then welcome. You are probably in good company. We have all done it at one time or another until the answers came to us, like a proverbial light bulb going off.

We are looking for the "Free Lunch" that doesn't exist.

There are lots of good companies out there and lots of good products. And most of all there are Good Marketers! Good marketers that keep us looking at what they are promoting.

So what's the answer? How do you get rid of your frustrations?

You Grow Up.

You know what you have to do, you know what you need to Stop doing, and you know how childish you are acting by continually chasing that "Free Lunch".

So shut off the email, stop checking stats, and get to work. Find your niche, build your site, and do your promotions and marketing the way you know will work.

Let me know if you need guidance, I am a firm believer in helping people. I will even give you some free hosting for you new site. Go to my business site and on the contact page fill it out and mention this blog and I will set you up.

The internet still has lots of room for new sites that present information to a targeted audience and deliver value.

And the Survey Says........!

The survey says You get paid!

Yep you get paid if you complete the survey. But what if you don't complete the survey? Well you don't get paid of course.

So why would you not complete the survey? Maybe your internet connection went down, maybe you were called away, or maybe the company that is conducting the survey doesn't think you are a good fit for the information they are asking about. The latter is the number one reason survey takers do not complete the survey, they answer a question and the survey says......Thank You, and GoodBye, half way through. "HEY! What'd I do? Why are you kickin me out? I wanna get Paid for this!" Well it's not what you did, it's what you didn't do.

Getting paid to take online surveys is a very popular and lucrative online past time. You can potentially participate in several surveys each day, taking anywhere from 5 to 20 mins. each and get paid a few dollars each or earn a gift card to any one of a million online vendors such as Amazon, Barnes and Noble, LLBean to name a few. These are not piddly little discounts, they are cash in hand like $25 to spend in your local CVS, or a local restaurant. And you can easily get 3-4 or more of these every month along with the cash deposited in your PayPal account that can be upwards of several hundred dollars.

So let's get back to "What you didn't do".

Paid online surveys are sincere and serious. The advertising company, not the survey company, is paying serious money to the survey company and the participants to get Real, Honest information so they can target the marketing campaign they are planning. What they want is people to give them honest and reliable information. Such as..."Do you drive a Hybrid Car?" Well if you do, great. They want to ask you more about your hybrid, what make and model, what mileage, etc. If you do not, they have no further questions for you so "Thank You and GoodBye". If you do not own the hybrid and you say you do your information will not fit into the survey and chances are you will get bumped our in the next 2-3 questions. So you won't get paid and you wasted your time.

What you need to DO is very simple. When you join a survey group, they have Profile questions, like little mini surveys about You. If you complete these honestly the survey company now has an accurate profile of you and will only send you surveys that will fit your profile. BINGO! You complete the surveys and you get paid. Very simply put, why would the company looking for feedback about the latest mens quad razor send the survey to a woman?

So you can take a good profile to the Bank!
